Matthew 21-22; Mark 11-12; Luke 19:28-20:44; John 12

I really like how we where able to read similar chapters writen in different perpectives by the disciples. One story that remains the same throughout Matthew, Luke, John and Mark is when they recall Jesus cleansing the temple and casting out those who are not praying. In all these chapters Jesus' saying stays the same, "And said unto them , It is written, My house shall be called the house of prayer; but ye have made it a den of thieves." This simple verse teaches us that Jesus Christ does get angry and is not tolerant of injustice. It also teaches us the principle of sacredness. A temple is a place where we find peace, come to pray, and meditate. It is not a place to involve worldy things and Jesus makes this point by casting them out of his father's temple. We must remeber to keep the temple a sacred place, this can also apply to our homes.
